Angela Dixon Osterman Memorial

During the 2004-2005 academic year, second-year ISU College of Pharmacy student Brian Osterman and his family suffered the loss of their loved one, Brian’s wife, Angela. Angela was employed at ISU as a management assistant with the University Administration Offices.

Following Angela’s passing, members of the College’s Professional Pharmacy Student Alliance (PPSA) joined together with Brian’s fellow classmates to host a dinner and auction fund-raiser to help defray unexpected expenses.

At the time, family, friends, staff, faculty, and other members of the University community showed interest in forming a scholarship endowment at the College of Pharmacy to assist future students who suffer a personal hardship or loss—making it more difficult to continue or finish their rigorous pharmacy education.

Due to the desire to help future students who face hardships during their professional education, The Angela Dixon Osterman Memorial Scholarship Endowment in the College of Pharmacy was established.
