Ara G & Shirley W Paul

Ara Paul is Dean and Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in Ann Arbor. He graduated from the ISU College of Pharmacy in 1950. He received an M.S. degree in 1953 and a Pharm.D. in 1956 from the University of Connecticut. While at ISU, he was involved in Phi Sigma Kappa, Alpha Psi Omega, Rho Chi and Phi Delta Chi. He was awarded the ISU College of Pharmacy Outstanding Alumnus Award in 1976 and the ISU Pharmacy Professional Achievement Award in 1990.

“Whatever measure of success I have achieved, I owe to the dedicated faculty at ISU who nurtured and encouraged me in the course of my studies,” Ara said. Ara, together with his wife, Shirley, established this endowment to provide financial assistance to single-parent professional pharmacy students.
