Amy is originally from Massachusetts and attended Southern Vermont College, where she graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2010 and was a member of both the women’s softball team and women’s basketball team. After graduating from ISU, Catherine worked in banking for a short time before transitioning to a career in development at Idaho State, serving as the Director of Development for the ISU College of Education for 3 years, Director of Development for the College of Business for 3 years, and as Senior Director of Development for the College of Business for another 1.5 years. Amy’s professional background includes several important roles working at various mental health institutions, including the prestigious Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, MA. Amy also worked for several years in retail management, as the regional manager for Journey’s shoe store at various locations in the Northeast. In 2021, Amy was hired as the Executive Assistant and Communications Specialist for ISU President, Kevin Satterlee, where she served for over 2 years before President Satterlee’s retirement at the end of 2023. Catherine and Amy left ISU in January 2024 to pursue professional opportunities on the east coast. Catherine and Amy were married in 2021 and feel a deep sense of appreciation to the Pocatello and ISU communities who showed them so much love and support during their time at Idaho State. Catherine and Amy are true Bengals and believe strongly in the importance of accessible and affordable education for all students who want to better their lives through education.
