Dr. Patti and Rayde Mortensen
Dr. Patti Mortensen is a proud graduate of the ISU doctoral program in Educational Leadership in K-12 Education Administration. She has three degrees from ISU. A bachelor’s degree in elementary education, an education specialist degree, and a doctorate earned in May 2009. She earned her master’s degree at Brigham Young University-Provo. In 2014, Dr. Mortensen joined the ISU College of Education Faculty as a Professor of Practice after 30 years of K-12 education experience as a teacher, school principal, district director, and school superintendent. She taught many courses in the K-12 education administration programs and enjoyed preparing a new generation of school principals and superintendents for careers in educational administration. Dr. Mortensen and her husband, Rayde, are honored to help graduate students in education administration attain their educational goals. The Mortensens currently reside in Pocatello and actively support ISU and the College of Education. They enjoy attending campus events and celebrating the wonderful achievements of ISU students!
