The ISU Women’s Club is honoring Ruby Taylor for life long commitment to learning.
Ruby continued her education in Pocatello in 1951, She graduated with the highest honors for a B.A. in English.
She then joined the library as the periodicals librarian. She retired from ISU in 1963.
She and her husband established a Graduate Student Fellowship Endowment Fund of over $50,000,
using transferred mineral rights from her family’s Montana ranch. She and her husband received
the ISU Alumni Association’s Bartz Award in 1994.
Ruby reveled by throwing Christmas parties for family and friends. She created intricate ornaments
for her guests. She enjoyed participating in the ISU women’s club.
