Robert (Bob) Schreiber School Counselor

Bob is a retired counselor living in American Falls, after a 29-year stint as the high school counselor in American Falls.

He was a member of the first class at Idaho State to receive an Educational Specialist degree in school counseling in 1970. Bob did his undergraduate and first graduate work at the University of Idaho, receiving a BS (Ed) in guidance and counseling and a M. Ed degree in counseling.

During his career he taught math and was a school counselor at Boise and Borah High Schools and Grand View High School in Owyhee County before getting the counselor position at AFHS. Bob still lives in American Falls with his wife Carol. They had three daughters, all college graduates.

He is a founding member of what is now the Idaho Counseling Association, is a past-president of that group and was its first Executive Secretary. Bob’s ties to school counseling are extensive. It is in that spirit that Bob established this scholarship."
