Roy R. & Linda Sumida

Thankful for the knowledge he acquired at ISU, Roy Sumida, together with his wife Linda. Established this endowment. Roy received a B.S. degree in pharmacy from ISU in 1945. During his 50-year career in pharmacy, he worked for Thrifty Drug in Los Angeles, then operated his own store, Roy’s Drug, for 40 years until he retired in 1995. He has been a member of the California Pharmacists Association and a past president of Visalia Rotary Club, and served as a board member of the YMCA, College of the Sequoias and the Kaweal Delta Hospital Foundation. Roy was inducted into the college of the Sequoias Hall of Fame in 1994. All pharmacy students are eligible to apply for this award.
