Sidney J & Amy A Fry
Sid Fry graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1963 and had fond memories of his years at Leonard Hall and Idaho State University. According to his family, Sid came from humble beginnings and wanted to help other determined students without means to earn their pharmacy degree. The Sid and Amy Fry Scholarship Fund was established for this reason.
Sid’s pharmacy career began in Juneau, Alaska as an intern. Passing his boards in 1964, he became determined to own his own pharmacy.
It was in Juneau where he met his first wife, Amy. Amy was a strong supporter of Sid and his career. Several years after marrying, Sid and Amy bought out his business partner and became sole-owners of a Sitka pharmacy and expanded to a second store before Sid retired and sold them both to a local pharmacist.
Sid and Amy were married for 36 years and adopted two children. After Amy passed away, Sid met his second wife Catherine. They were married for eight years before Sid passed away on December 8, 2011.
