WB & WH Carte

Brothers Wayne and Walt Carte were raised in Buhl, Idaho, and both graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1939. Wayne became a doctor after graduating from the University of Michigan Medical School, and practiced in Olympia and Shelton, Washington and then Twin Falls and Buhl, Idaho.

Walt was an outstanding athlete who lettered in every sport except tennis at Idaho State College (ISC). He coached basketball at Emmett High School for two years and at ISC for five years. He practiced pharmacy in The Dalles, Oregon, until his retirement in 1971. Walt was inducted into the ISU Sports Hall of Fame for football and basketball.
