A Place for Mom Scholarship
A Place for Mom is proud to offer scholarships to university students interested in the fields of aging and gerontology. As North America’s largest senior living referral service, we know the importance of supporting the training and education of our future senior care leaders.
Scholarships will be awarded to a citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) who is enrolled and currently taking classes at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec), and will grant selected applicants a scholarship for their compelling submissions on life lessons from a senior.
The annual scholarship award is for students enrolled in a certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or graduate level program in a medical, nursing, social sciences or other related major which will prepare the student for a career in working with seniors. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens. The applicant must also be attending classes at an accredited college or university at the time of application.
Student may choose to send either a 400-700 word essay or a video submission on the following topic: What are the most important life lessons that you have learned from a grandparent or other senior in your life? How will you use the lessons learned from them in your future career in working with seniors?
