Eastern Star Endowed Scholarship

For Fall 2022 Semester – The Eastern Star Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students in any major with class level preference going to Freshmen, other undergraduate students, and finally graduate students. Purpose of the Scholarship: To assist first those students who are members of organizations that promote development of leadership skills, and then other qualified students. First preference will be given to applicants who are members of organizations that promote development of leadership skills. Students who are receiving athletic grants-in-aid are not eligible. Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents. Preference given to Idaho residents. Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA for entering freshman and undergraduates students. Financial need is required. Student must be enrolled for full-time credits.

  1. Are you a current student athlete who is receiving any sort of athletic grant-in-aid (athletic scholarship)? A student receiving "any" athletic grant-in-aid is not eligible for this scholarship.
  2. STATEMENT: Provide an essay addressing your educational aims, chosen career, plans for accomplishment, leadership capabilities, need for this scholarship, and any other information or compelling life circumstances you consider to be pertinent. Please be aware that strong emphasis is placed on this section of the application by the selection committee. Be as complete as possible. 200-500 words is sufficient.
  3. I understand that I MUST complete a current FAFSA (fafsa.gov) before the deadline to be considered for this scholarship opportunity.
