The Society of American Military Engineers Gem State Post 2022 STEM SCHOLARSHIP

REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicant must be a US Citizen
• Enrolled in an engineering program, architecture program, or one of the Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs listed below leading to a BS
degree or equivalent.
AND Undergraduate class standing of sophomore, junior or first semester senior
AND Attending The University of Idaho, Idaho State University, Boise State
University, BYU Idaho, or Northwest Nazarene University
• OR A son or daughter of a SAME Gem State Post member having undergraduate
class standing of sophomore, junior or first semester senior enrolled in an engineering
program or one of the programs listed below leading to a BS degree or equivalent at
any accredited university
• Applications are due no later than January 21, 2022
SELECTION BASED ON:
• Academic standing – GPA
• Response to Scholarship Essay
• Involvement in university and community programs
• Letter of Recommendation from a University Professor or Official
Required: applicant statement, essay, letter of recommendation.
