Join the Idaho HealthCorps AmeriCorps program!
Our program offers an easy way for students to earn a scholarship while in school and working! Sign up for a 450-hour contract that consists of training and service time. Students in these positions will learn, practice, and present 5210 lesson materials to the community and its members. These lesson materials cover healthy eating and lifestyle habits as well as provide easy tips and tricks to maintain a healthy lifestyle. In return the student will be given partial student loan interest forgiveness and an education award of $1,678.57 that can be used towards student loans and/ or tuition.
Requirements:
• Present 5210, a healthy lifestyle course, to community members in your area
• Attend up to 90 hours of training
o Can count any health-related courses
• Complete 450 total hours before 8/31/2022
Benefits:
• Partial student loan forgiveness
• Scholarship award in the amount of $1,678.57 (awarded upon completion)
o Can be used towards student loans, tuition, and/or continuing education courses
