Idaho AGC Education Foundation Idaho Construction Scholarship

The Idaho AGC Education Foundation awards scholarships of up to $1,500 each year to full-time
students at an Idaho college or university. Students must be enrolled as a junior or senior and
have declared a construction related major. While each award is for a single academic year,
students who receive the award may apply again in following years.
Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
• Be a legal resident of the United States of America
• Be enrolled as a full-time student at an Idaho college or university
• Have accumulated enough college credit to have been designated as a junior or senior in
the coming academic year
• Have declared a construction related major
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Complete the enclosed application no later than the first business day of May
• Write a 500-word personal essay about their goals and interests
• Submit at least one letter of recommendation
Essay Instructions
Provide a statement of purpose explaining why you are pursuing a degree in a constructionrelated field and what you plan to do after graduation. Please explain why the Idaho AGC
Education Foundation should invest in you and what industry contribution you aspire to
make during your career. You may also use this platform to showcase your achievements
(scholarships, honors, awards), detail extracurricular activitiesin which you have
participated (volunteer, government organizations, etc.), construction related awards or
recognition, or any leadership roles or activities.
Your essay should be a minimum of 500 words and no longer than three (3) pages
