DeCou Family Endowment for Suicide Prevention

(CUUI Use) For Summer 2023 The DeCou Family Endowment for Suicide Prevention shall be used to fund original student research in the study and prevention of suicide. Research awards may be used to pay anticipated research expenses, travel expenses for student to attend conferences at which they will be making relevant presentations, or trainings directly related to the study and prevention of suicide. Qualified candidates for this scholarship must be Clinical Psychology PhD students who are studying the prevention of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Candidates must intend to submit research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals. If no candidates are studying the prevention of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, the fund may be used to award candidates studying non-suicidal self-injury. Preference will be given to candidates who are seeking funding to support dissertation research and candidates who are studying in the lab of Dr. Shannon Lynch.
