James E. Johnson Medal of Honor Scholarship

For Fall 2024. The James E. Johnson Medal of Honor Scholarship is for full-time students that are veterans of the U.S. Armed Services, National Guard or Reserves. Applicants must have a Home of Record of Bannock County on the DD214, or have been residing in Bannock County for at least 24 months. If no candidates meet this requirement, then preference will be given to candidates whom have a Home of Record of Idaho on the DD214 and have been residing in Idaho for at least 24 months. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and can not have been dishonorably discharged. Preference is given to candidates that receive less than 50 percent of tuition from GI Benefits and have been former recipients of this award. Preference is also given to students enrolled in the College of Business. Renewal is not automatic and former recipients must reapply each year.

  2. Home of Record:
    • Do you attest that you have a Home of Record of Bannock County on your DD Form 214, or have been residing in Bannock Country for at least 24 months?
    • If *NO*, do you attest that you have a Home of Record of Idaho on the DD Form 214 *AND* have been residing in Idaho for at least 24 months?
  3. Do you attest that less than 50% of your tuition is being paid by GI Benefits?
  4. Are you a former recipient of this award?
