Mike and Luci B. Willits Leadership Scholarship

(For CUUI use). For Academic Year 2024-25. The Mile and Luci B. Willits Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a full-time student participating in ASISU Student Government or the Bengal Newspaper Staff. Student must be in Student Government or the Bengal Newspaper Staff at the time of the award. Any class level. 3.0 GPA required. Preference is given to students from Jefferson County, Idaho or those who grew up in another part of rural Idaho, and be an Idaho Resident.
Process: ISU Scholarship Office will get a list of students for ASISU Student Gov’t for even fiscal years AND get a list of students in Bengal Newspaper Staff for odd fiscal years. 1st check for Jefferson County residents; if none (other rural areas in Idaho); if none; residents of Idaho. If more than one qualified, GPA will be used. Scholarship Office will try to make awards by July of each year in order to look at as many students in each group as possible. Award will alternate between ASISU Student Government and Bengal Newspaper Staff as follows:
AY21-22 (i.e FY22) – Student Gov’t
AY22-23 (i.e FY23) – Bengal Newspaper
AY23-24 (i.e FY24) – Student Gov’t
AY24-25 (i.e FY25) – Bengal Newspaper
AY25-26 (i.e FY26) – Student Gov’t
AY26-27 (i.e FY27) – Bengal Newspaper
