Idaho Associated General Contractors Education Foundation Scholarship
The Idaho Associated General Contractors (AGC) is the state’s largest, most trusted
network of construction professionals.
Through the generosity of its members, the Idaho AGC annually awards scholarships of up
to $1,500 each to full-time, higher education students seeking a career in construction.
While each award is for a single academic year, students who receive the award may apply
again in the following years. Scholarships are awarded through the Idaho AGC’s Education
Foundation, a 401©3 charity.
Eligible applicants must:
• Be a U.S. citizen OR a legal resident.
• Be enrolled, as a full-time student in an accredited institution of higher education
located within the state of Idaho OR be an Idaho resident currently living within
Idaho and be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited online institution of
higher education.
• Have accumulated sufficient college credit hours to have been designated as a
sophomore, junior, or senior.
• Have declared a construction-related major such as Construction Management, Civil
Engineering, Material Engineering, Business Administration with a Construction
emphasis, or other fields of study directly connected to the construction industry
(major declaration must be clearly indicated on transcript).
• Have a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.8.
• Submit a complete application packet prior to the deadline.

A complete application packet must include the following:
• A complete and signed application form (attached).
• A transcript (while official transcripts are preferable, unofficial transcripts will be
accepted provided that they are formatted in a manner that all relative information
is clearly legible).
• An essay of no less than 500 words that covers (1) the applicant’s connection to the
construction industry, (2) the applicant’s construction-related activities while
attending school such as participating in student activities, work opportunities
within the industry while in school, and internships, and (3) the applicant’s future
career goals in the construction industry.
• At least one letter of recommendation
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate active participation in the relevant
student organizations (such as an AGC-sponsored Student Chapter) or other activities
(such as the annual ASC Student Competition).
The deadline for the 2025/2026 academic year is
April 28, 2025. Incomplete application packets or packets submitted after the
deadline will not be considered.
