Roberta 'Bobbie' Stanton Hyde PHD RN Scholarship

For Academic Year 2025-26. The * Roberta Stanton Hyde PhD RN Scholarship* was established by Dr. Fred Hyde in honor of his past wife, Dr. Roberta Hyde who was a long standing faculty member in the School of Nursing and tragically passed away shortly after her retirement. Dr. Hyde was known for her steadfast advocacy for disadvantaged students advancing their nursing education. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide tuition and fee support to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Eligible students will be majoring in a nursing program in the College of Health. Financial need is required (as determined by the FAFSA). *First preference will be given to following: 1) Unwed parent, 2) Student transitioning from an LPN or ADRN Degree to the BSN Completion Program, 3) Unwed student between ages of 18 and 24 years old. If there is an equal need between students with the above preferences, the award decision shall be based on the following second preferences: 1) a student who is a member of a federally recognized tribe; or 2) a member of an underrepresented population to help support and encourage needed training and education.
