Reducing Drunk Driving in Our Communities Scholarship

As drunk driving remains a concern across communities today, Shelly Leeke Law Firm, LLC, wants to encourage students to devise creative ways to keep their communities safer. As such, Shelly Leeke Law Firm, LLC, is debuting its “Reducing Drunk Driving in Our Communities: What Can Students Do” Scholarship in 2025.

This scholarship provides students with $2,500 of academic support based on the arguments for increased roadway safety they present in a 500- to 1,000-word article describing what means their communities could use to reduce instances of drunk driving.
Application Requirements
The “Reducing Drunk Driving in Our Communities: What Can Students Do” Scholarship is open to any undergraduate or graduate student who can meet the following criteria:

You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
You are enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college, university, or graduate school in the United States
You agree to the scholarship terms and conditions
Submit the necessary application materials, including the 500- to 1,000-word essay on drunk driving in a student’s relevant community.
Application Process

Scholarship Essay Topic
Students should submit an essay between 500 and 1,000 words detailing multiple suggestions for curbing drunk driving in their communities. The definition of community is flexible and can accommodate the student’s hometown, college campus, or similar location.
