Tools of the Trade Scholarship
The Tools of the Trade Scholarship was established to provide funding for Idaho students pursuing certificates or degrees in
professional-technical education programs at Idaho Postsecondary Institutions. The intent of the scholarship is to offset the costs of purchasing required hand or power tools as determined by the specific program selected by the student. Any student who plans
to enroll in an approved professional-technical education program at the post secondary level that requires occupational
tools is eligible for this scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible a student must: Be a legal resident of Idaho, have graduated or will graduate from an accredited Idaho public
Have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better during the previous two years of school at an accredited high school or postsecondary school, enroll as a full-time student (12 credit minimum), in a professional-technical occupational
program at an approved college in Idaho, pursuing an undergraduate course of study requiring at least nine months of
consecutive attendance and leading to an initial degree or technical certificate (Eligible Institutions: College of Western Idaho,
College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College, Idaho State University, Lewis-Clark State College, North Idaho
College).
Application, essay, official transcripts, and 2 letters of recommendation required.
