Thumbtack School-To-Skills Scholarship
As part of our commitment to growing the next generation of small businesses, Thumbtack has established the Thumbtack Schools-To-Skills Scholarship. The scholarship provides assistance to a college or university student who is pursuing degrees in the United States that enable them or others in their communities to learn a new trade, develop skills or start a small business. The selected recipient will receive $5,000 for the 2016-2017 school year.
Eligibility:
• You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a legal resident of one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
• You must currently be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, or be planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program during the entirety of the 2016-2017 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States.
• You must be pursuing a degree that enables your or others in your communities to learn a new trade, develop skills or start a small business.
How to Apply:
• • To apply, submit essays in English of no more than 500 words about: (1) Share a story with us about how a small business owner or independent professional had an impact on you or someone you know; (2) How do you envision using your education to start a small business or enable more individuals to start their own businesses and become independent professionals?
• • Your essay and accompanying information must be submitted through the Scholarship Entry Form page to be eligible.
