National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM Chemistry/Biochemistry Scholarship - Chemistry (Incoming Transfer & Continuing ISU Students)

For Academic Year 2020-21 The NSF _Chemistry*_ STEM Scholarship* (Transfer & Continuing Students) is awarded to students pursuing a BS, BA in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry. Students may be an incoming Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class levels. Must have a 3.0 minimum GPA. Financial need is required. Must be U.S. Citizen or eligible non-Citizen. Preference will be given to students whose goal upon graduation is to work in the chemical or biochemical sciences or to attend a chemistry-related graduate program. (Please NOTE: Students intending to enter health professional programs such as pharmacy, medical or dental school are not eligible for this scholarship).

  6. STATEMENT: Provide an essay describing why you want to study chemistry at Idaho State University and ultimately pursue a career in chemistry or biochemistry. Please be aware that strong emphasis is put on this section of the application by the selection committee. Be as complete as possible. 500-1000 words is sufficient.
  7. 1st Letters of Reference (NSF Chemistry): Please request two letters of reference providing insight into your personal character, potential, motivation and ability to successfully complete a rigorous chemistry program. For "Current and Continuing College Students": At least one reference must be from a Chemistry Faculty member and a second from a Math or Science Faculty Member. You should notify these individuals to expect an email regarding this request. You are responsible for ensuring references are submitted by the required deadline.
