Truthfinder Women in STEM Scholarship
According to findings reported by the Office of the Chief Economist (OCE), women occupied 47% of all US jobs in 2015, but made up only 25% of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) jobs.
Despite this discrepancy, studies have shown that women in STEM jobs earn 35% more than women in other fields. As a result, the gender pay gap is smaller in STEM jobs.
For employers, a lack of diversity in the workplace can have serious consequences. Scientists have found that gender bias can influence the outcome of clinical trials, reduce the advancement of knowledge in various fields, and impede innovation and collaboration. We want to do our part to help more women study STEM subjects. However, the cost of higher education can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re offering $2,500 to eligible candidates enrolled in a degree related to the STEM fields. TruthFinder is a San Diego- based technology company. The team behind TruthFinder is proud to support women in STEM careers. Our workforce is enriched by a talented team of female developers.
