Dean Leckie

Dean Leckie always had a love and appreciation for firefighting. Through his professional career path took him in a different direction, Dean intentionally made space to pursue his interest even still, and found work in Southeast Idaho as a seasonal wildland firefighter. Dean’s passion was truly ignited during this experience, Dean also observed a common financial trial amongst fellow firefighters, and especially those pursuing higher education. Seeing this equally matching challenge, Dean knew he wanted to make an impact. As Dean’s love and passion of wildland firefighting continues, so to has his thoughtful and generous support of firefighters pursuing higher education at Idaho State University.
