Southeast Idaho Wildland Firefighter Scholarship

For Academic Year 2026-2027 – The Southeast Idaho Wildland Firefighter Scholarship is awarded to a student in any major and class level. Must be employed as a seasonal employee of a public firefighting entity as a wildland firefighter (most recent fire season); or engaged as a volunteer with a local fire department during the most recent fires season (prior to award). Minimum GPA of 2.5 or greater required. Students who are employed at regular city/county fire departments are not eligible.

    • Are or were you a Volunteer for a local Fire Department during the most recent fire season:
    • Are or were you employed as a Wildland Firefighter during the most recent fire season? This can include Bureau of Land Mgt, Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, etc.
    • If you said YES to one of the questions above (required); please elaborate on where you were seasonally employed as a wildland firefighter OR where you volunteered at your local fire department
  2. Are you a firefighter employed by a city/county fire department (not a volunteer)? If yes, you will not be eligible for this award.
